Transforming Education

Group Work

In order for all students to receive a sufficient amount of instruction to meet high learning standards, it is necessary to provide instruction in small groups. Learning Conferences alone are not sufficient to provide students with a necessary level of differentiated instruction, and large-group lessons only target general objectives relevant to the whole class.

Small-group learning opportunities take place in Learning Groups and Unison Reading. The Unison Reading Rubric and Learning Group Rubric should be used to guide the implementation of these formats.
